Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic conspicuously and painfully demonstrated how fragile our societies are against novel viruses. The reasons for this are: a) Lack of application of standard intervention policies to improve public health during outbreaks, and b) lack of comprehensive understanding of the complexities of viral outbreaks because of lack of knowledge about natural world, evolution and "self". At present, both in the whole world and in our country, there exist a shortness of true scientific knowledge and abundance of pseudo-scientific knowledge which is brought by a sense of urgency. For these reasons, in this article I will not elaborate on the diagnosis, therapy of COVID-19 which changes almost daily. We have not reached solid scientific information on these issues. Instead, by listening the loud voice of COVID-19, I will try to understand the universe, evolution, and human beings; focus on how the viruses and microorganisms rule the world, and how do they interact with our immune system. I will also entertain the idea that immune system might be a peace keeping force rather than regular army. I hope to be forgiven for the misapprehensions that comes with the courage of proposing a "somewhat unified knowledge" about life. In the end, I hope that the loud voice of coronavirus will help the humanity to understand the viruses, evolution, and interconnectedness of whole life on earth so that awaiting future crises –such as new pandemics, climate breakdown and biodiversity– can be mitigated.
